Random Acts of Kindness

This is very Random!.....Quite a few years back Oprah did a show on random acts of kindness. I'm sure most of you reading this blog remembers that show, it was one of my all time favorites. I have been thinking a lot about this and have decide to challenge all of you to some "Random Acts of Kindness". It can be anything you want as long as it benefits someone else. Here are a few example: paying for the car behind you at a toll booth, letting someone go ahead of you in line, reporting great customer service to a store manager or being kind to a tella-marketer (that's a hard one). I know most of you make it a habit of doing these types of things but after every "Random Act" you do please leaving a comment telling me about it. I'm hoping for the most comments ever!!! "Now go out there and be kind"

On Sunday I was driving down Freedom Blvd. There was a car wash for a 19 year victim of a fatal car accident that happened last week. His family couldn't afford his funeral so they were having a fund raiser. I was sitting at the red light thinking how awful it would be to lose one of my kids, and how much worse if I could not afford to bury them. My window was down so they asked me if I needed a car wash, I said no but I would like to donate anyway, so she ran up to the car and I gave her $5.00. She said "God Bless You" and I realized he already had....my kids are alive.

I recently had my carpets cleaned by Valley Cleaning and the guy was really nice and did a great job. He was fast, courteous, etc. So I wrote a letter to his boss telling him what a great job his employee had done and said that he was very friendly and professional. His name was Cesar - I hope they passed on the message!

Well, a random act of kindness.... On a daily basis I run into people just being rude, when shopping; whether it be for groceries or in a mall. When in line, to purchase my items, I see that a person has a few items, I will let them go ahead...it's just being aware of others. It is those simple things that I enjoy doing for others. The smile on ones face, gives my much pleasure.

dang, I keep forgetting. That's bad isn't it? I'm on a mission this weekend...why is it so hard to remember to be randomly kind?

Why is it that we only see female names doing random acts of kindness. I'm sure there are kind men in this family??????
